The man who dares to walk in the shoes of Michael Hutchence — J.D. Fortune, the latest lead singer of INXS who won the spot on last season’s edition of Rock Star — has not lived up to his last name.
After poor sales of the band’s most recent album, Switch, the band has been dropped by their U.S. label.
Even sales in Australia have been pretty poor. I’d love to believe this is karma for J.D. being such an asshole, but I’ll leave it instead as a cautionary warning to you all: no matter how much lipstick you put on the pig, an 80’s dance band will always be an 80’s dance band.
